Grand Action Simulator: New York Car Gang puts you in the shoes of a ruthless criminal who wants to run all of NYC. You roam a big open-world map, grab money any way you like, steal cars off the street, hit rival crime lords, and keep building your empire one mission at a time. It is free to play in your browser with no download needed. The game works on desktop and on mobile, so you can pick it up at school, at work, or anywhere browser games are allowed.
What is Grand Action Simulator: New York Car Gang?
Grand Action Simulator is a 3D open-world crime game developed by HGames. It launched on Android in September 2017 and came to browser in December 2017. The comparison to the GTA series is earned: you have a large city map to explore on foot or in stolen vehicles, a roster of weapons and gear to buy, and a set of missions that push your criminal career forward. How you earn money is mostly up to you. Rob pedestrians, jack cars, complete missions, or just roam and cause trouble. Other crime lords will push back, so keeping your health and armor stocked matters.

Weapons, vehicles, and what to spend money on
Cash is the engine of the game. You earn it through missions and by robbing civilians or stealing cargo. Once you have enough, the in-game shop (press R near one) lets you buy new weapons, upgrade your armor, or add vehicles to your garage. The game has many gun types, from pistols up to heavier firepower, plus grenades with swappable types. Vehicles range from standard cars to specialty rides you can store in your garage (press T). Graphics quality is also adjustable, which helps if you are on a slower device.
| Category | How you get it | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Weapons | Buy at shop or find in world | More damage or range against enemies and bosses |
| Armor | Buy at shop | Absorbs damage so your health lasts longer in fights |
| Vehicles | Steal from street or buy | Faster travel, also doubles as a weapon in crowds |
| Grenades | Buy, then press Z to swap type | Area damage, useful against groups of enemies |
Missions and crime lord takedowns
The mission structure gives direction without locking you into a linear path. You pick up jobs around the city, complete the objective, collect the reward, and move on. Rival crime lords act as boss-level targets. Taking them out expands your control over the city. If you prefer to ignore missions for a while and just explore or grind cash by other means, the open world lets you do that too. The map is large enough that wandering around has some replay value on its own.
Tips for staying alive and building fast
- Buy armor early. Street fights escalate quickly and armor gives you breathing room.
- Use the car as a weapon when you are surrounded. Running down enemies is faster than reloading.
- Check the shop often. New weapon slots open as you spend, so revisiting pays off.
- Steal vehicles instead of buying them at the start. Save cash for weapons and armor first.
- Adjust graphics down if the game stutters. Lower settings run much smoother on older hardware.
